Helmets are required in our league and must be worn during games. Although this is a non contact sport, bumps and run ins can still happen. It is of our utmost importance that our players are protected from injury, which is why we take the extra precaution with the head.
Below are the standard requirements for soft helmets and their star rating. NFL FLAG VC requires a 4 star or higher to be used. NFL FLAG VC has also partnered with GAMEBREAKER helmets for a discount to our league and parents + free extras. ** Uniform requirements: NFL FLAG VC issued uniform comes with your registration. Uniforms consist of 1 NFL reversable jersey, 1 pair black solid shorts with no pockets and NFL flag belt. Players may not substitute any of the uniforms with any other item.
** Winter weather: During wintertime players may wear black leggings or compression pants UNDER the league issued black shorts. Sweats pants may not be so bagging that they impede flag pulling. NO POCKETS may be exposed at any time and pockets may not be taped.
Players may also wear black or white long sleeve compression style tops under NFL FLAG jerseys. Black sweatshirts may be worn under the NFL issued jersey, but they may NOT have hoods.

- Must have no metal components.
- Must have no hard-plastic component parts.
- Must have no sharp or hard edges and/or anything that could cause harm to another player.
- Must have a fully functional retention system or chin strap.
